About the job

As a Health & Safety Coordinator within Action, you will be responsible for implementing and managing safety programs, developing, implementing, and overseeing safety policies and procedures to ensure a secure and compliant work environment.

Together with the store management teams, you will be responsible for ensuring the compliance to the Health and Safety Legislation.

You will report to the Country HR Manager.

Areas of responsibility

• Developing and implementing Health and safety procedures in line with legal requirements
• Training Managers on procedures and standards to ensure compliance
• Planning and handling of risk assessments in all assigned workplaces
• Handling any incidents, investigating their causes, and recommending improvements
• Providing occupational risk prevention training to our managers
• Managing and planning medical Reviews
• Conducting safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance
• Acting as a liaison with external health and safety authorities, as needed

About You

• Higher education in Occupational Health and Safety
• 3 years relevant working experience in a similar position in Retail sector
• Fluent (written and verbal) in Portuguese and English
• Great communication skills, the ability to influence and build relationships
• Practical, pragmatic and driven to get things done
• Experience of working in a fast-paced environment
• Lead by example and continually work to support stores and staff
